Proven and Approved Steel Quality
CTS/TITAN IBO® micro piles use approved micro-alloy constructional steel
STE460 or STE355 -depending on pile type- acc. to approval no. Z-30-89.1
of the Institute for Construction Technique, Berlin Germany
In the thread production process, the material strength of the micro-alloy steel is increased by cold forming without causing brittleness.
Thread conforms to DIN 488 and ASTM-A-615
Optimum bond is achieved because the related rib-area of the CTS TITAN
micro pile thread is close to the optimum value for reinforcement steel.
The ribs of the thread induce an equal crack width distribution in the grout. Research has shown that up to 1.25 of the design load the characteristic crack widths are below the permissible value 0f 0.1 mm as required for reinforcement to DIN 1045 16.8.5 or ASTM-A-615.
This proves that the system complies with DIN 4128 9.2 and that single corrosion protection of minimum 20 mm grout cover, as with reinforcement steel, is sufficient.
Coated and Stainless Steel Components
If more than single corrosion protection is required, CTS/TITAN IBO® micro
piles can be coated (metallized or epoxy coated). The piles are available
in
stainless steel for very aggressive environments.
Compression and Tension
CTS TITAN IBO® micro piles can be designed for compression, tension or combination
loads.
A Complete System
The CTS TITAN IBO® micro piles system is available for a wide range of load
and soil conditions. Accessories are available to allow installation
with a wide variety of drilling equipment.
Backed by ongoing Research and Development
The CTS TITAN IBO® micro piles systems is constantly being developed and
tested. Extensive research has been performed with the system, which
has proven its quality.
